New Administrator Search - Or Not

3/20/12

On the 13th, Mayor Lizee was at the Parks Commission meeting. She was asked about the City hiring a search consultant to find a new Administrator. Seems her answer was pretty vague.

It seems that the City is aware of candidates and there are lots of resumes out there. Has not hiring a search firm been decided? From Lizee's comments it would seem so. Of course if you already know who you want, you don't need to search. Wonder when Lizee will let others in on her choice?

Happy reading!

  2. One can only hope that the mayor does not defile the word "transparency," or any of its derivatives, any further, by using it in her re-election bid this year.

    1. The Lakeshore suggests Heck was fired by council for not supporting the "greater community". But there is no such thing - even if it is on our illegal city signs. Another Lizee fiasco.

Shorewood residents pay our council and staff to represent SHOREWOOD interests! NOT the interests of others. They have their own representatives. I can't believe I have to write what is obvious to a 5-year old.

According to the Lakeshore, it seems like Mr. Heck was loyal to those who paid his salary - Shorewood residents. The council didn't like his "parochial" attitude - because they fantasize about being "global citizens".
Note to council: If you want to represent the "South Lake Community" - then run for that office and be paid by those residents. But if you are employed by Shorewood, we expect expect you to represent US - and no one else.

      Grow up!

  3. Insider, seems this whole action is "pretty vague" and yet we currently have no qualified city administrator. Are we still paying for him? Is there a public buy-out amount? A search team retained?

Regarding your statement above: resumes for city administrators don't just "float" around. They are attached to expensive head hunters and contract negotiators. This will cost us $$.

    1. That was proven in 2008 when Dawson was ousted... the council that pushed him out the door wrote a lot of checks.
