City Water Worksession - Postponed

5/24/12

The council work session covering city-wide water has been postponed to a yet-to-be scheduled later date. It was supposed to happen Tuesday evening at 600 PM. Apparently, staff and the consultant council hired to develop a plan and funding alternatives are just not ready.

  1. The postponement is unfortunate. The sooner this gets aired, the sooner we can be rid of Lizee and Zerby. I son't know if is is arrogance or stupidity, but how they think they can make a case for citywide water and survive politically is beyond comprehension. Even suggesting that the city take several million dollars from the taxpayers, for zero benefit, will cause the voters to throw them out. It won't take a Karl Rove to develop a campaign that will get rid of those two idiots. Lizee is already one of the least trusted and most disliked mayor in Shorewood history. This should be the straw that broke the camel's back.

    1. So how do we start the movement?

  2. It's an election year - no major decisions will be made on any issue. Team Liz/Zerby's transparency is brightly shining through - let's not do anything that may jeopardize getting re-elected. Seriously, If they're willing to postpone the search for a qualified full time administrator until after the election, you think they're going to step-up and tackle this controversial issue prior to elections?
