Election Results

11/7/12

Zerby will be Mayor in January. Since he was unopposed, this is not a surprise.

Sundberg and Woodruff will take the two council seats in January. The Insider hopes Sundberg acts more independently of Zerby, Siakel and Hotvet than she did during the campaign. The City doesn't need or deserve a rubber stamp new council member.

  1. Very little is known about Sundberg or Sylvester (who lost) for that matter.

They declined to participate in the candidates forum. She dropped a nice marketing piece, he did not.

They placed their signs in all sorts of illegal places, next to polling sites, in city parks, too close to roads.

Were they ignorant of the rules or did they choose to flaunt them?

Now that she's in office, will she be accessible and open to the residents? Will she play by the rules or...

  2. Well, time will tell. She acted somewhat independently with all her illegally placed campaign signs ... pretty easy rules to follow, but she choose to ignore them. She has a lot of work to do to earn trust that she will pay attention to detail, think independently, and abide by the ordinances of the city.

Congratulations Councilor Woodruff ... glad you will be our watch dog for another 4-years.

  3. Council person Sundberg would be prudent to watch the discussion on this blog as would all of council.
This is the community at work here in these posts. I have seen comments so thoughtful and intelligent that it makes me wonder why we have so few people run for office in this city.
